Words have meaning. Slavery has a specific meaning. It doesn't mean indentured servitude. People in indentured servitude are under a contract for a certain amount of years, not forever. They have legal rights. Their children can't be sold away from them, and the indentured servitude doesn't extend to their children if they die. They are committed to work for a certain amount of time to pay a debt. They entered into that agreement freely in all but rare cases.
Words have meanings. It's like calling the Gaza War genocide. War and genocide are two different things. Civilians are dying because there is a war, but there is not a systematic effort to murder every last palestinian. Israel usually warns civilians of impending attacks. That is not genocide. It's not like what happened to the jews in nazi germany and not like what happened to the tutsis in Rwanda. Does anyone accuse Germany of genocide against the French or British in WW2? Is Russia committing genocide against Ukraine? War is not genocide.
WORDS HAVE MEANING.
