You are right, Steve, it looks like pro users will get to keep that function, for now at least. The blog entry had a poorly worded paragraph that led to my confusion. I think they may want to move away from dwg/dxf in the long run.
Might just pop over to their offices one of these days, have a chat with them about future upgrades.
