Well, I have no experience with foreign lovers but I think the American male got a bum rap in this instance. I've never had a rough lover and I did have a few (lovers) in my younger days (I said a FEW, not a bunch!)
My biggest complaint about that survey is where do they get off using a pic of George Clooney!
OTOH, some American males, but not all certainly, don't take as much trouble with pleasing the lady. And any woman can't but love the French when they say a woman doesn't become interesting until she's 40! They do love women!
(If I missed changing any "g's" to "l's" with my chopstick, oh wegg...)
