The silence is deafening because the ignorance is staggering. The media is hoping you'll dance around the flames of burning capitalists with just the words "anti-trust" being yelled. No knowledge of the McCarran-Ferguson Act, why it was passed, or the positive and negative consequences of eliminating it.
This news barrage wasn't about the McCarran-Ferguson Act at all, which was passed in 1945 and apparently didn't bother Democrats (or anyone else) at all up until last week.
This news barrage is about associating the words "anti-trust" with insurance companies in the public mind, since the real goal is killing the insurance companies off and the current Democratic shitstorm against these companies is part of that.
If you're interested, look up some background on the Act.
