The so called rock solid Democratic majority is far from it. There are Democrats and there are democrats who say they are Democrats, but act like republicans a lot of the time. If the Democrats had a real rock solid majority health care reform would have been passed a long time ago. It is tenuous at best and depends on help from left leaning republicans to get anything done.
