The mythbusters may have found a way to increase gas mileage.

If you've watched TV or internet streasming-video episodes
of "The MythBusters" at Discovery Channel you may have seen
one of their latest shows which features an automobile
covered with golf-ball like "dimples".

The short and the sweet of it is: is that the car with
the golf-ball like dimples gained an eleven percent improvement
in gas mileage.
Like the dimples on a golf ball, I guess, which allow golf balls
to experience less air resistance and drag and increase range, the dimples on the car's body performed the same function.
That's the best explanation.

The "two" scientist/engineer celebrities who performed the
experiment should patent their idea.
Not only for automobiles, but what about dimpling aircraft fuselages?
Reducing drag on aircraft fuselages by dimpling should increase range
and or top speed.

And what about dimpling the skin of rocket boosters to reduce drag?
That should increase payload to orbit.
