but tb, no one has actually proven that preventing hurricanes is bad. and we know much damage and loss of life could be prevented. i think this is just a blatant power grab by the government weather authorities who are in the business of forecasting storms and managing emergencies. they have a lot to lose from any technology that prevents or weakens storms. these special interests are just anti-technology, they want to scare people so they can increase their power and ensure their budgets forever. they are anti-free enterprise and don't want private companies to get into the business of saving lives and property, it would threaten their bureaucracies and their influence. follow the money. follow the money.
