Obama's dazzled fans elected an inexperienced academic and community activist who won most of his previous elections by virtue of having his opponents destroyed prior to the election. His short Senate career was not notable. His "ethics" and those of most of his administration associates are born of Chicago politics, which should be all that needs to be said.

I'm sorry that we have to have a president get a major on-the-job education in economics, foreign policy, and the realities that most leftists in academia and elsewhere are happily insulated from. It would be less of an issue if presidents and the government had less power.

So far, he seems to be learning a lot faster in foreign policy than he is in economics.

If you've been paying attention, he has chosen to continue almost all of the "illegal" policies Bush put in place.
