Wait a minute, I thought you were agreeing with Clapton's support of English fascists, or at least, trying to point to his actions in an ironic fashion, as some kind of contradiction.
Clapton plays American Black Blues, and he's one of the artists most responsible for rescuing that quintessentially American art form from oblivion and popularizing it throughout the world, even in its country of origin. He continues to cover tunes from the old masters, and plays often with those few still alive, like BB King.
Without the British bluesmen of the late 50s and early 60s, this music would have disappeared, even in the community that invented it. Regardless of his personal politics, Clapton's artistic integrity has never been in question.
Hey, I enjoy Ted Nugent's music, too. And he's a rightwing nutjob of the first magnitude.
