You're full of crap, Lee.
First, in case you missed the memo, the USSR disappeared a couple of decades ago. Second, just because the Brits all look mayonnaise white to you, they are riddled with cultural differences which are quite obvious to them. Not only the major divisions, English, Welsh, Scot and Northern Irish, but they are further subdivided linguistically and geographically, not to mention by economic and social class. "Common identity, history, societal norms" my ass, those people have been fighting amongst themselves for centuries, even their accents give them away. Just look at British history: the country has long been a cesspool of ethnic violence. You are aware that "ethnic" does not necessarily refer to race, aren't you?
The major and most insidious "outside influence" undermining Albion's culture and global influence is their own American Cousins. Just ask them. As far as who brought in the fuzzy-wuzzy's, it was the same people for the same reasons as happened here and several other European countries. Population growth slowed as people limited family size because they had the education and the technical means to do so (yes, even before the Pill). A shortage of young people means less people looking for work, hence an "upward pressure on wages." Now we can't have THAT, can we?
Acting as they always do to frustrate the workings of the free market, the business class intervened, as they always will.
