Thanks, that gives me a better understanding.

Would downloads be improved at all? Would it improve movie watching on-line? Sometimes, there will be a short video (like a movie trailer) that will stop while the download catches up. Should that improve? I'm guessing no, that those are all functions of how fast my computer is (2.99 GHz which is probably considered slow now)?

I'm still on Windows XP (thank heavens).
