Are you sure you still live in California? The state that was built on capitalism and destroyed by socialism. If one has actually lived in California as long as you have and one doesn't see what's happened and why, nothing I could ever say would sway you or help you to understand.

Look around you. Look at those who have the jobs. The illegals. The fast food places, the markets, the gardeners and the unskilled laborers cleaning up the local Wal-mart.

Why do they have jobs? The minimum wage. Why are all goods now made in China? The minimum wage.

Why will the US economy continue to tank? Why did the US automobile industry collapse? Why do we have a Wal-mart economy?

The answer to all - the minimum wage.

If the minimum wage were repealed, you think wages will free-fall. Sure. So will production costs. The factories overseas will no longer be the solution for every western company. No more Chinese lead paint on Barbie's dream house. A chance to make the global labor field level again - like it should be.

The minimum wage approach is the path to the poor house. A nation where illegals are the de-facto employees in America and the nation starts to become more and more corrupt - just like Mexico - as they keep coming and find ready work when legal citizens can't - because of the minimum wage.

The minimum wage is the noose around America's neck. The socialists are pulling the lever on the trap door. Roosevelt was clueless. We've had so many good-intentioned, but clueless, socialist folks pave the way for USA's descent.

Have no fear though. I have it on good authority not only will the minimum wage not be repealed, but that particular flavor of the US as a socialist ghetto dystopia you prefer is pretty much a done deal. You've had a front row seat to watch California decline and become the dystopian role model, now with the auto industry down and Obama's economic plan a total bust, the trap door has swung open.

We live in a world that is becoming exponentially more ignorant in so many ways. Ignorance always walks hand-in-hand with poverty. Sadly, the working people you claim to represent will be the ones who are not bright enough to understand why they are jobless, poor and working for chicken feed. They will be the ones who will vote leftist - because they are naive and believe promises and are gullible enough to believe in a free meal.

So look around and enjoy the last days of the golden age. There will be no more rocket ships in parks. In about 50 years there will be no more rocket ships. Period.
