Bankers and corporate leaders aren't really affected by the minimum wage. Neither are union members, and most blue and white collar workers.
The person getting smacked is the unskilled worker, usually a young person at entry level. Anyone my age will remember one hell of a lot more kids working at gas stations, movie theaters, grocery stores, and a lot of other places.
But if you want my view on it, this is a lot less about minimum wage, and a lot more about the dozens of legal and bureaucratic hoops someone has to jump through nowadays for even the most routine low-end hiring. Especially in some states.
By the way, governments also respond to lack of restraints, expanding when nothing stops them. I am continuously amazed at the huge blind spot liberals have on this, considering that that expansion has been much more prominent in recent decades than anything businesses have done.
But hey, what do I know. I'm just a crazy person.
