You get too much power in either party and they go hog-wild with their "supposed mandate." Checks and balances, checks and balances.
I saw from the beginning after Obama was elected, the Nancy Pelosi bunch thought they had a mandate to do whatever the hell they wanted. Instead of sitting down and working with the other side, they tried to push shit through to spite them. Pelosi needs to go before she does more damage. The best bills, IMO, have a bit of both left and right in it. Again, checks and balances.
