Obama: "I'd rather be a really good one-term president ..."
Unfortunately, that's kind of an oxymoron.
An incumbent president, all else being equal, has enormous advantages in being elected to a second term. Unless you die in office or something, the only real reason somebody historically becomes a one-term president is because on some level, the electorate thinks you suck.
