Clever, really; credit where credit is due. Whether it's a truth or throwaway line depends on whether you believe in the spurious idea of the exact equivalence of left and right. Not that I'm saying that there isn't plenty of bad behavior to go around, but it's, well, shall we say naive? to believe that at any given time any specific brand of shitheadness is present in equal measure in both political parties.

And given that it always seems to be the right that's always strenuously objecting to being accused of shitheadedness...well, makes me think of words like "compensation". Or quote Shakespeare to myself (you know the one, no need to rub it in). Or, more seriously, to point out that there's no logical reason to believe in equivalence on the large scale either. It stands to reason that it's entirely possible that the right really is more evil, on balance, than the left. Hypothetically, that's all I'm saying. But think about it.

I should rein it in, since this isn't Flame, though I'm on my way there, after having watched the Republican Bizarro-World SOTU...guess I'm warming up.
