Get the Government Out of the Business of Protecting People from Themselves.
Drug abuse is a MEDICAL problem. It needs a MEDICAL solution, not a POLICE solution. Legalization of drugs would put the drug gangs out of business instantly (they can't compete with Walmart).
Permit physicians to prescribe cocaine, heroin, cannabis, amphetamines and the rest of that crap. People who WANT to take it, take their chances with informed consent.
