Re: loaded answers

^Giving them legal status and allowing them to buy into the medical insurance pool will reduce everyone's current cost of paying for their medical care.^

Is there ANY data that would back that claim up? Remember, these people will be subsidized anyway. What's the difference? It is an article of faith that somehow this plan will reduce medical costs.

^Yeah there are employer mandates for very large businesses, and there are tax breaks for small businesses that make up better than 35% of the economy. Why? so that employees of both large and small businesses can get health insurance.^

This makes no sense at all. Please review why those large companies are in trouble. It's because legal changes are deliberately making private benefits impossible to maintain. Of course, that's the idea.

^So when the government spends that tax money does the multiplier suddenly not exist anymore? Will that $46k not be respent over and over as well as if the millionaire had spent it? This argument is beyond stupid.^

You're assuming that the government spending money, which it does largely for political ends, is as effective in creating real economic growth as millions of individuals spending it for their own benefit. Never mind buying luxuries - what about investments and creating new endeavors? Turning over cash to the government to spend is the equivalent of a successful businessman giving huge amounts of money to his idiot nephew. If government spending built economies as effectively as the private sector, nations where the government spends all the money would be the most successful in the world. History shows precisely the opposite.

^It is the middle class who are being forced into bankruptcy by the millions because of health care costs and predatory insurance company policies.^

This is one of many lies we were told to sell this mess. The sourcing for this is primarily two Harvard academics who work with a group dedicated to socialized health care. When faced with this, your response last time was that there should be NO medical bankruptcies, which is ridiculous.

^I don't have an answer for this other than it is a helluva good argument for a single payer system.^

As I've told everyone many times, the OBJECTIVE of this legislation was to eventually make the private insurance alternatives impossible, and force us all into a totally government-run system. The only thing missing from this particular bill was the public option that was supposed to immediately begin absorbing the leftovers from the destroyed industries. Look for a public option in the VERY near future. I suspect someone is already proposing it in Congress.

Of course, for some people absolute state control of an industry is a feature, not a bug.

^This is designed to help allow college students to have health insurance. Duh.^

College students are already covered under student exemptions, at least under our current Anthem policy for my two kids. Of course whether or not existing systems work is of no interest to socialists intent on taking it over. When they do take it over, you'll find they have no interest in whether it works then, either. It's about the power, and always has been.

If this is "easy," it's because your side basically makes everything up.
