The prep hasn't gotten any easier (that stuff they make you drink is foul, and it's effect is disgusting) but the procedure itself is totally pain free. And it is really a good idea to have it done. The alternative is too terrible, and too easily avoided, to do otherwise.
They found only one small, benign-looking polyp in my exam, which they removed and sent off for analysis.
