Re: Dancing in the fog

This is that point in the dance where after several posts attacking the profit motive, greed, and businesses, you come back with "anticapitalist? Moi?"

Then you repeat the lie that I'm a zealot who sees no middle ground, when I have explained countless times that I have no problem with the "middle ground," but that in this country we have left the "middle ground" miles back, and in places like Europe it's far worse.

^The ideal system is a synthesis of whatever is possible, the best of each counteracting the worst in the other, changing over time to meet different conditions.^

This pink undefinable fog is comfortable, and you have a lot of company there. Obama lives there, and so did Gorbachev with his "perestroika." Somehow, there is a golden mean where the State has power over every aspect of economic activity, but innovation and wealth creation would work exactly as it would in a free society. This is no less "dogmatic" than any other ideology, particularly in the face of past and current evidence.

You'd think someone would remember that the worst environmental disasters on this planet have been courtesy of industries owned and controlled by their governments.
