Oldest trick in the book for tech support types. It's better than saying "we have no clue how to do a website or write a piece of software."
I say again, just from personal experience of course, the health field seems to have a hell of a time fielding a workable website.
My wife does continuing education on a site that, as yet, can't handle a Mac.
It's frustrating when you have a software problem, and you're pretty sure it's a bug (like something that showed up right after an update), and you can't get the guy at the other end to admit it. If you're lucky, another anonymous update shows up that fixes it. This isn't just small software companies, either.
Then again sometimes I get someone who says "yeah, we found a big, hairy bug and we're working on it. Really sorry for the problems, but it will get better soon." I almost wish I could give the guy a raise.
