The best carrots
Are the ones I got right out of the ground in my grandma's garden. Wash most of the dirt off and eat them peels and all.
I have lousy luck growing vegetables in my yard, aside from cherry tomatoes, but there's a lot to be said for knowing exactly where your produce comes from!
Modern chicken needs all the sanitizing it can get. Again, my grandma just went out to the pen and pointed out the one she wanted.
