Media desperately clawing for examples
The whole "racist Tea Party" meme blew up in their faces, and this little bit of satire must have seemed like a gift from God.
What I found most interesting in looking at links about this was the continued effort of the media to paint the Tea Party as a unified centrally-controlled monolith (like the Democratic Party). The Left badly needs a single neck for their axe, and frankly, is completely confused by the very concept of a decentralized movement.
Up until now I had never heard of a "Tea Party Federation," and you can bet that until they became useful to the liberal media's agenda, "Face the Nation" had never heard of them either.
