In a related item, you might remember the Democratic meme about the Bush tax cuts being "only for the rich." I've been amused at Obama promising to extend the middle-class tax cuts, while apparently hoping nobody would notice that the Democrats have been insisting there was no such thing. Either the Democrats were lying about that, or Obama is pulling a fast one by pushing non-existent tax cuts.
