I stand by that statement based on his performance during the Iraq War. That's one data point. The other data point is that he's a radical leftist with a violent allergy to all things military, and would really like to see the whole issue just go away. I really can't visualize him standing up to overwhelming political opposition to push on for victory.
I do give him credit for continuing several successful military tactics and strategies once he became president, including one or two he had promised to end.
