If my words about educators were offensive, I'm sorry. For what it's worth not all educators fall into the remora fish category - mostly those who are already "career educators" and for whom establishing a need for their services to save the world from the dangerous religious rednecks, hillbilly homophobes and chthonic capitalists is their paramount priority.

To wage their war against the aforementioned they need victims. These victims not surprisingly are culled from the rapidly reproducing, plentiful poor idiot class and are only too eager to hear that their troubles rise not from ignorance, stupidity and their own actions/inaction, but rather because they are victims of segments of society.

Reorganizing the social framework (aka looting the "rich" or productive) such as advocated by Bageant becomes par for the course.

There are some educators who want to educate. Many more think educating consists primarily of sharing the "enlightened worldview" they have obtained by sitting at a desk 7 hours a day, 200 days a year, teaching the same things over and over and over again.

As for the racist crack, that's par for the course. It's impossible to point out facts or statistics about races or nations without immediately being called a racist.

The truth hurts and if really forced to confront their real motivations, educators, socialists and the Bageant's of the world might end up like poor Dagny Taggart's brother, James in Atlas Shrugged.
