I dare say the level of lobbying will not go down as the government gains further controls over the health care industry.
In fact, the level of lobbying from an industry is probably directly proportional to how much power the government has over that industry. Microsoft spent almost no political money until after the government tried to snap that company's spine.
But surely when the government takes complete control of the industry we'll get all the cheap wonder drugs we need, and it will all be paid for by bad people nobody likes.
