Count your blessings. As I understand it, your granddaughter is essentially living with you, and you have the opportunity - no, the calling - to be a rock for a child in a storm who badly needs one.
So many grandparents see their grandchildren maybe once a year. Or hardly ever. You see yours almost every day. Despite the storms you've had to deal with (while having to be your own rock), that one star shines pretty brightly through it all.
