How about The Peacemaker? George Clooney as a soldier who saves the day.

How about Saving Private Ryan?

How about Band of Brothers?

How about Memphis Belle?

How about The Battle of Britain, one of my dad's favorite movies, because it was about something he lived through.

How about Valkyrie (sp?) which tried to show that even Nazi officers were human?

How about Glory, one of the very best movies about the Civil War imo. If your heart doesn't bleed for the soldiers at the end of that one, I don't know about you.
