While screaming at us not to smoke, the government hauls in tax cash from cigarettes, and subsidized tobacco growing.
You don't need jackbooted police if you have trained a population over generations to accept government control meekly. I'm still waiting to see what actually happens when people find out the can't get incandescent light bulbs any more. I'm still hoping that most Americans don't really know this has happened yet.
