I thought everyone knew
It's going to football and basketball and baseball and any other sports they can squeeze in that have nothing to do with education and everything to do with obscenely sports oriented parents prodding their kids to perform in sports but not necessarily to get good grades. If you took all the football money and funneled it into teacher salaries and security, we might actually have a school system again instead of a training mill for the NFL.
