For some reason that makes eternity more palatable

My mind can wrap itself around a million beginnings, endings, beginnings, endings throughout eternity. Even if the endings are not exactly endings but rather a collapse into what seems like an ending, a void that contains everything that has been or will be.

I'm reminds me of Genesis 1:1 ^In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. 3Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.^

In all legend, there is a kernel of truth somewhere. Could ancient minds, not being able to grasp the idea of space, have learned the legends of the creation of the Universe from "Visitors" and translated it into the creation of the Earth, their little rock in the big heavens?

As a Spec Fic writer, I'm kind of thinking this through out loud (or rather in writing). I've got kind of a germ of an idea for a short story or novella.

In Native American legend, I believe they speak of the void and the Creation of everything from that. They, of course, had no idea of Christianity prior to the coming of the White man but still, their legends correspond with those of Christianity.

I've always loved the story of what the Native Americans said about the White Man's Christianity. In the beginning there was the Word and it was misunderstood.
