2008? Please point out the economists back then who said things would get worse in 2008. And 2009. And 2010. And 2011. The Democratic media have been telling us we're in "recovery," and all the bad statistics have been "unexpected." It's been nauseating watching them cherry-pick data to make Obama look good when they used to cherry-pick data in the last administration to make low unemployment and dropping deficits look bad.
Socialist nations have waited generations for socialist ideas to "work." Next five-year plan for sure.
Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and the others are economically illiterate at best, economically insane at worst. God knows how much further damage they would have done over the next two years with Pelosi running the House. They took a boat that had major leaks in it and blew holes in the bottom to "let the water out."
To be fair, Bush's TARP program did pretty much the same thing.
