It's not "progress," it's what I've been saying the whole damn time.
Regulations to keep companies from dumping poison into rivers are reasonable. Regulations on the size of the holes in Swiss cheese, or light bulbs, are serious overkill. And I would bet most current regulations fall into the latter category.
As for Obama's "enlightenment" on the subject, I'll believe a leftist Democrat will reduce government power on any front whatsoever when I see it.
As with a lot of other political areas, it's an area where we've gone WAY past the midpoint in the wrong direction.
