The Bush Admin idea that a democratic country in the arab world influencing the rest of the region was not ill conceived. The implementation through foreign military force hasn't exactly inspired the people of the middle east. The home grown revolution we are seeing in Eygpt on the other hand is clearly having a ripple effect in the region.
The muslim brotherhood has never polled higher than 20% in Egypt. Down the road they may become more popular but after 60 years of authoritarian rule, the people of Egypt don't seem likely to rush back into dictatorship.
