Re: How to spot bullsh!t in a post
When you read the words "government takeover of health care" you know immediately you are dealing with either spin artists or morons. Newsflash! The delivery system didn't change with Obamacare. The insurance companies still run the show. How you can claim there is a government takeover and that private insurance premiums are rising in the same sentence defies reason.
Well, it certainly defies your reasoning skills. First I never said 'government takeover' in any of my post. Second a government can impose policies on a private company without taking it over and the results of those policies can and sometimes do end up costing the consumer more money.
You made claims right from the start without links and you bitch at me when you can easily get the links on my charts by right clicking them?
No, I didn't make claims 'right from the start'.
Making claims and just posting charts is totally different Buck. I was giving an opinion with my response to you, you were giving stats from someone without the source. Yes, I know all about right clicking, but it doesn't direct you to the main story from which you got the charts. You have to dig for it and that is disingenuous as charts and graphs are easily manipulated.
And yes I was showing numbers from the last decade for a reason: to demonstrate that health insurance premiums climbed by an average of 114 percent since 2000, prior to Obamacare. Sorry that went right over your head.
Duh, everybody knows premiums have been rising the last decade. The point is how much more with Obamacare policies. I made that point and you bring ideology without facts.
And yeah, they continue to rise because insurance companies are still in charge. Unfortunately. Want to see premiums stop rising? Create a public option to compete directly with the bloodsucking private insurance companies.
Wow, seems like you are the one who has a 'government takeover' issue.
The CBO has said prices would rise, but it's obvious prices would rise without Obamacare.
But it is obvious that prices are rising 'more' with Obamacare policies and the CBO says so.
The people who are blaming any rise now in premiums on Obamacare are the same people who screamed about death panels over a provision that would allow a patient discuss a living will with their doctor. But that happens when you substitute ideology for facts.
All I have brought to the table is facts, you are the one injecting ideology, as this post proves.
What is amazing is that the government tells the insurance companies what they have to do, they do it, adjust their cost accordingly, legally I might add, the government is all upset because they left a loophole (according to them) allowing these adjustments and then they blame the insurance companies. Even the democrats know they blew it, but I guess some still can't grasp it.
