Not a lot of people here click the further links inside a link. It's one reason I can post something from a conservative site that references a dozen links to the New York Times, and still get dinged for printing "right-wing propaganda."
In a few cases I've started pulling the links out into my posts, which is redundant, but avoids the problem.
