You obviously are not paying attention to what I'm saying, or have ever said.
It's not "entrepreneurs" I find questionable, its hired managers who style themselves as entrepreneurs. Even the robber barons deserved some grudging respect; they may have screwed their employees and competitors, but at least they left a legacy of quality products and wealth-creating infrastructure. What passes for corporate leadership these days is a bunch of parasites, who suck their companies dry and leave them a shambles while they move on to loot others.
Your entrepreneurial heroes are rapidly becoming an anachronism, a handful of specialty firms dealing in flashy and profitable, but essentially inconsequential techie services. They can't even make anything without foreign factories. Real commerce and manufacturing, your true "business community", has been hijacked by a gang of leeches and parasites, professional managers with no commitment or feeling for the firms or industries they serve.
Come to think of it, what has happened to American business isn't that much different than what happened to the Republican Party which served it. They're only in it for the money.
