By definition
If an opinion, idea, policy, etc is based on bad science or biased thinking, it should be defined not as bad intellectualism but as ANTI-intellectualism. The entire concept that somehow intellectualism is bad is UNintelligent. The concept that we should have simpletons as leaders because they are regular folks is just plain dumb. Do you want someone who has never been to med school as your surgeon? Someone who has never been to law school as your lawyer? Someone who has never been to flight school as your pilot? I don't. And I don't want someone who has never studied history, political science, economics etc as my president.
There is NO defense for anti-intellectualism.
