I read a book about escaping a German castle in WWII. Damned if I can remember the name of it though. Care packages were sent to the prisoners. Inside these packages were cigars in cigar cases. The real treasure was the cigar case which I believe had the word UPMANN stamped on it. The prisoners took the advice written on the case and used it to store contraband when being strip searched.

On a side note: they also built a wooden glider in the attic, but were liberated before getting to fly it. They had a documentary on it with Alan Alda as host. They recreated the glider using the same materials etc in England. Then after it was finished they invited the old prisoners who built the original to witness the test-flight. It soared like a bird.
