One person posted something implying that conservative posts here sounded like they came from Mein Kampf. Another person fired back a rather virulent response in which graphic images of trench knives were invoked. I was somewhat amused by this and posted a reply accordingly.

The implied violence made the moderator angry, although I personally thought it was in the same category as Charlie McCarthy yelling "I'm gonna mow ya down!"

The moderator made the excellent point, though not in these exact words, that it was his board, that we are guests here, and we play by those rules. I concurred.

I agree that the posts should have been left up to be judged on their own merits--apparently most people don't check the flame board very often. My summation is an inaccurate way to draw conclusions.
