Rob L.:
Appreciated, but over on the space board (the only other one I visit) I was impressed that everyone posted their source either in text or as a link. Even here, people like myself and Tom B. post sources.
Look, if you copy something verbatim and DON'T provide a source, mesh it into your own words IN THE SAME PARAGRAPH and DON'T even use quotes, then you are taking credit for work someone else has done, and trying to claim that the fruits of anothers mind are your own. Thats wrong. Thats free-loading. I would run you out of a university for doing it in a course and I won't tolerate it in debate. I will take a stand for intellectual integrity and lambast ANYONE who tries to pull that.
In the particular cases posted here, I challenged Robert E. B. to provide a reasoned argument, facts or something other than hot air to bolster his assertions, and he came back with someone elses text dressed as his own, go examine the posts if you don't believe.
As for someone having said 'Quote and Source' before, well, a turn of phrase does not need to be quoted. But if you must, Heraclitus seems to be the first to have advocated credited arguments from authority. ;-)
1 paradigm + 2 gestalts - your 2 cents = 18 salty non-cents. ;-)
