Only 4 people died. Tragic, but pretty small potatoes compared to the massacres that go on daily in repressive regimes throughout the world.
And it occurred 2 days after violent student demonstrators burned down the ROTC building at Kent State.
Sure, the Ohio guardsmen overreacted that day, but many of the students were violent and reckless (and lawless) back in those days, too.
