<...the rantings of Fidel Castro or James Carville. Only a fool would find anything to debate. I mean, by anything, any intelligence, any mind, any thought.
James Carville has a TV news show, and regularly drops memos to the DNC on strategy and tactics that are regularly acted on. He's a major force in the Party. If he's as big a nutcase as you say he is, you might want to think about that a while.
...anything which constantly refers to "Democrat Socialists" isn't talking about anyone I know.
Not sure how many Washington Democratic politicians you know. I'm not talking about Joe the Union Plumber here.
As for "socialists," other than the one part about the government owning the businesses (and why bother owning them if you completely control them?) can you think of one single official position of the Socialist Party that differs from the stated positions of the Democratic Party?* If it quacks like a duck...
"Dittohead" doesn't bother us because it doesn't mean what you think it means. Doesn't apply to anything in conservatism except Limbaugh, either. Nice try, though.
Now, is it safe for these "Democrat Socialists" to serve in the Armed Forces? Or work at a nuclear power facility? What about being around the Shuttle?
If you think I am worried about a Democratic political leader actually winding up in some honest job, I'm not. Doesn't sound too likely to me. However, I would be concerned about Democratic Socialists being in charge of the military and military spending, nuclear power policy, or the NASA space program.
...Aren't they hostile to the ideals, the freedoms, the principles of America?
The Washington Democratic elite? For the most part, yeah. Don't listen to what they say, watch what they do.
And why vote? Isn't that a shame?
To help get the Democrat's sorry asses out of political power. Don't you vote just to do that to Republicans?

* For reference, you can find the Socialist policies (as usual, many pages) here. From the preamble:
...We are socialists because we reject an international economic order sustained by private profit, alienated labor, race and gender discrimination, environmental destruction, and brutality and violence in defense of the status quo.
We are socialists because we share a vision of a humane international social order based both on democratic planning and market mechanisms to achieve equitable distribution of resources, meaningful work, a healthy environment, sustainable growth, gender and racial equality, and non-oppressive relationships.
A democratic socialist politics for the 21st century must promote an international solidarity dedicated to raising living standards across the globe, rather than "leveling down" in the name of maximizing profits and economic efficiency. Equality, solidarity, and democracy can only be achieved through international political and social cooperation aimed at ensuring that economic institutions benefit all people. Democratic socialists are dedicated to building truly
international social movements - of unionists, environmentalists, feminists, and people of color -that together can elevate global justice over brutalizing global competition.
In the United States, we must fight for a humane public policies that will provide quality health care, education, and job training and that redirect public investment from the military to much-neglected urban housing and infrastructure. Such policies require the support of a majoritarian coalition of trade unionists, people of color, feminists, gays and lesbians and all other peoples committed to democratic change. Our greatest contribution as American socialists to global social justice is to build that coalition, which is key to transforming the power relations of global capitalism.
Any of this sound at all familiar?
