Read Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee: An Indian History of the American West and then we can talk morality.
There’s an old saying – “When you have manure on your mustache, the whole world stinks.”
In the meantime, most nations have extreme difficulties getting started. There have been slaughters in China, Southeast Asia, Africa, Europe, Central America, South America, Australia. By Caucasian Americans, their European ancestors, and their ancestors.
Not good. And, as the man said, not fair.
Focussing on one aspect of any society will lead to a distorted view of it. The USSR was a terrible place in a lot of ways. There is no, none, zero doubt about that. And, it worked for most of the people.
Their history is grim. Look at the US reaction to WTC. 3,000 people. They lost 20,000,000 in WWII alone. (You ignored the part about their having been invaded by the Germans, and having US soldiers and missiles on their borders during the Cold War, and their military being primarily defensive until they got missiles.)
Again. See what the US has done in response to WTC. The USSR was invaded. They responded drastically, no doubt. And cruelly.
Talk with apolitical folks who were born, grew up, met their spouses, raised their kids, became ill and died in their Homeland, or what they call Motherland. And then tell me what you've read is the WHOLE story.
