Talk about "taxation without representation". How about "taking a person by force and sending him into harms way in about the most chicken-shit place on Earth that the communists deserve to have if they want it" without representation.

(Actually, by the time I went I could vote. But it sounds good the other way.)

I'd really like your idea, though. If I could repudiate my association with many of Bush's actions I would. And, I'm a citizen. You could add that WWII was won by a Democrat, that the Depression started during a Republican regime, and so on.

In the service, in remote areas, there's the concept "it's all green". Ultimately, everything belonged to the military. That was the rationalization for scrounging, which was simply stealing. Well, on the level of the country, it's all America. We're all in this together.
