You forget, Bowz, I supported Bush I's decision to invade Iraq. He was punishing Iraq's brutal invasion of Kuwait, and he got extensive international support and cooperation. Saddam was threatening the world's oil supply by not only invading one of his competitors and menacing all the others, but by threatening the Straits of Hormuz. And when the "mission was accomplished", GHWB withdrew his forces, short of full conquest of his helpless foe, just as he had promised.. It was a classic case of a just, and humane, war.
GWB's Gulf War II was something totally different. There is no comparison to his father's action, and the only reason I initially supported it is because I fell for the WMD, Al-Quaeda connection, and all the rest.
