Re: What good have those leaders done for their own people

Well, Cuba is a small nation off the southern coast of America. There was a revolution which threw corrupt American business interests out.

At the urging of the exiled Cuban population and the corrupt business interests, the United States has spent the last 50 years making life as miserable as possible for Cubans. All Cubans. Except the elite, who have not been affected by the economic embargo, by the early raids, by the overflights with leaflets, by the international harassment in the UN and with other folks. And travel bans, so that people have to rely upon the US for information. And the US gets it from the exiles.

Looking at the reality, the results of the actions. The only ones affected have been the average Cubans, who must be hated by the exiled Cubans. No one would create such misery for so many if they had any regard for them. Regretfully, sadly, it's impossible to draw any other conclusion. I

One must not listen to the rhetoric, the glorious oratory. One must look at what is done by whom and to whom.

It's no wonder Cuba is not an economic powerhouse. And it's due to people who claim to love Cuba and Cubans.

Go figure.
