Re: All right.

Tom, remember the example I used?
The junta DID invade the Falklands, as I pointed out. I never claimed dictatorships never invade their neighbors as some law of nature.

I wasn't aware of those border skirmishes between Egypt and Libya, did you have to go look them up just to make your point? I don't recall them making front page news here, in fact, I don't remember them at all, although I don't doubt they happened.

As for the Cubans, they were going places to prop up their Red pals, probably under the request of the Kremlin, paying their dues for Soviet aid. Kind of like our Contras, or the Bay of Pigs.

But like I said, unless you pick out the obvious, like Stalin and Hitler, most dictators just push their own people around, for the most part. But there is no law of nature that says they have to stop there, or that they must do so.

You didn't have to lawyer up on me, especially, since we've been doing a bit of foreign invading ourselves, (which certainly supports Bowser's view) lately, in fact, for our entire history: Canada, Mexico, the Spanish Empire, Two world wars, numerous interventions and police actions in central America and the Carribean. Need I go on, and everything we've been involved with during and since the Cold War?

Bowser has a point, although I think he's exaggerated and overblown it. But Americans have been dying and killing all over the world since this country was founded, sometimes for good reason, sometimes not. Especially after we pacified our own aboriginal populations. We've been really busy abroad since we went international in the 1890s.

But I will concede the technical point, counselor.
