ARGH! This makes me crazy. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation is underwritten by the Feds to the tune of approximately half a billion dollars a year! This is above and beyond the ad revenue they get.

Anywho, spend a few hours watching the CBC and you'll find a socialist party card has magically appeared in your wallet. (Canada's socialist party is, of course, called the New Democrats...used to be the New Democratic Party--if it had been the People's New Democratic Party it would have been a give-away, I suppose.)

The CBC isn't just beholden to the left...in many ways it is the left. To suggest that this most-powerful of Canadian media institutions is in any way free is just not accurate.

And as far as being dragged around by the US: nonsense... you'll find some of the very best American bashing right there on the People's CBC.
